Week One: Reflection - Designing for Future Scenarios

In our rapidly changing world, the idea of designing for various future scenarios is both relevant and realistic. The unpredicable nature of the earth calls for need to predict or anticipate such scenarios and speculate about the effects these may have on the earth and society itself. Possible solutions will need to be explored if society ever is to encouter such scenarios. By being prepared and planning for these radical changes in the earth, society can improve its own sustainablity and longevity into the future. Designers will have a critical role in the future in accomodating for these changes through the utilisation of specialised design and technology, thus alleviating the impact that these will have through the integration with society.
